[신앙에세이] 별들이 침묵하는 이유

The reason why stars keep silence

광활한 우주에 떠있는 별들에게는

그들이 어디에 있는지 중요치 않다

Its not important for stars

to know their location in vast universe.

무한히 펼쳐진 우주에서는

어떤 방향이라도 문제가 되지 않기에

Because direction doesn't matter to them

in this boundless universe.

별들에게는

그들이 어디로 가고 있는지 보다

그들이 무엇을 하고 있는지가 더 중요하다

What really matters for stars is

not where they are going now

but what they are doing.

별들은 창조주 하나님께

자신이 어디에 있는지

어디로 향하고 있는지 묻지 않는다

Stars keep silence

without asking to the creator God

where they are now and where they are moving to.

그저 그들이 있는 그 곳에서

맘껏 빛나며 하나님의 영광을 드러낼 뿐

They’’re just shining bright before God

Wherever they are.

그저 별들처럼,

내가 어디에 있고 어디로 향하든

언제든 하나님 앞에서 밝게 빛나고 싶다

Just like those stars,

irrespective of where I would be

I just want be shining bright before God.
